about greenbridge

who we are

Greenbridge is a Vermont-based nonprofit connecting students, educators, schools, and communities with meaningful global learning opportunities. We build sustained international partnerships and expand access to cross-cultural experiences that connect Vermont with the world.

our approach

Greenbridge focuses on relationships that are sustained, reciprocal, and accessible. We combine virtual exchange, face-to-face experiences, educator collaboration, and international partnerships so that global learning is not limited to students or schools with the greatest resources.

Our work is designed around mutual benefit: Vermont participants learn from international partners, international partners learn from Vermont, and educators help shape experiences that are relevant to their students and communities.

why greenbridge

Global learning should not depend on a student’s zip code, school budget, or ability to travel. Greenbridge works to broaden access by creating high-quality international connections that can begin virtually, grow through sustained collaboration, and, when possible, lead to face-to-face exchange.

By linking Vermont schools and educators with trusted partners abroad, Greenbridge helps turn international education from an occasional opportunity into an ongoing part of teaching and learning.

leadership

Greenbridge is led by Executive Director Jill Prado, a veteran educator and global education leader with more than two decades of experience developing international learning opportunities for students and educators. Her work has included sustained school partnerships and educational exchanges in Europe and Canada, as well as programs supported by Fulbright, the U.S. Department of State, and international education partners.
